Anthony Bogdan is an organist and he is pleased to advise on Church Music, play for weddings, funerals and other mid-week services He was organist (for sixteen years) of The Parish Church of St Thomas, Leigh, Lancashire and he played The Famous Harrison Organ of 1921. Anthony claims that playing such a fine instrument week by week for the past sixteen years has developed his keen voicing "ears"

The organ is magnificent,
(Viscount Envoy 35S) everything I hoped it to
be and more (literally – there are features which I thought were only on
the more expensive model). I am so pleased that we chose this make and
model and I have to thank you for the part you played in this.
The keyboards in particular are great and I am very glad to have
taken up your suggestion of the different Fatar keyboards - they are
well worth the extra money and can be recommended to your future
customers. The extra cost is not a lot compared to the total cost and,
let’s face it, they are the most used part of the instrument!
There is a thick file in our church office
which records the attempts to repair and tinker with our old pipe
organ. I looked forward to a time when we would have a reliable
instrument, one which was not so frail that at each service the organist
would ‘hope’ that all would be well. However, I had no idea that our
new Viscount Envoy Organ would be not only a better and reliable
instrument but would be a whole world of sound different and would fill
the church with such music and delight which the building had never
experienced in its 75 years. Such tributes come from many members of the
congregation, we have various organists who come to play on the new
Viscount Envoy and enjoy it. I want to thank Anthony Bogdan for his
travelling long distances to prepare the way and later to fine tune the
instrument to the building. Jeremy Meager was efficiency itself in
installing the instrument in our organ loft. Everything was done with
such friendliness that we felt part of the family.
Since the installation
and voicing I've had a chance to explore the instrument and quickly
generated some very positive responses from the congregation as to the
quality of the instrument. I did appreciate
your courtesy and consideration in coming to Mass to actually show me
how to function in a live environment soon after the installation. Your
service is quite exceptional in this day and age.
Next stop is a wedding on the 28th October with Handel's Water
Music and I'll be exploiting all of the organs versatility to blow them
down the aisle! Thank you for everything you've been God send.
Just a note to say many thanks
for your prompt delivery and installation of my Viscount Vivace 40 organ
and especially all the time you spent here carrying out the voicing and
explaining all the features to me. I am delighted with the organ and
have already spent many hours practicing. I went to church to practice
this morning and had no problem with the transition between the two
organs which is something that I had previously worried about. The Viscount Vivace 50
which you delivered and installed last week is a delightful instrument
that has exceeded my expectations. The sound is impressive, and it is
virtually impossible to tell that it is not a pipe organ. The range of
stops is exceptional for the price, and the inclusion of a 32' contra
violon makes a powerful difference.
Since having the Vivace 40 installed at
Christ the King, the singing has improved tremendously, both with the
choir, and the congregation - they absolutely love the realistic sound
of a pipe organ (and so do I!). I have received several compliments
about its quality and the sheer power it has in filling out Church!
It's absolutely amazing!

regards to helping me choose the Viscount Vivace 50 as a home practice
instrument. It really is a fantastic instrument from which I shall gain
much enjoyment. I was thoroughly impressed by the promptness of the
delivery and you and your teams professionalism. I would certainly not
hesitate to recommend you in the future. Once again many thanks and
your honesty and integrity was much appreciated.
After
the installation by Viscount, along came
Anthony
Bogdan with his
wonderful ear for voicing. He had to work with a very critical and
demanding organist (me) in an unusually shaped building such as St.
Mary's is. He overcame all these hurdles to transform the organ into a
beautifully toned and highly admired instrument. Time was no object to
him either, he refused to leave until both he and I were happy. He
insists he still has more work to do, and is returning once the
instrument has had some time to 'settle down'. He is to be highly
recommended and now I wouldn't trust the organ voicing to anyone else.

collection & onward removal of my Viscount Vivace 40 organ carried out
so efficiently with such good humour.
Just
a few words to say how pleased we are with the Vivace Model 90 Organ. I
find the Instrument gives me great pleasure and enjoyment to play. With
the large number of voices and the and the variety of their combinations
it gives me quite a variation of mixture of sounds for playing hymns and
voluntaries. The instrument produces notes of clarity which enhances the
worship, giving a perfect lead for the singing of hymns. The feed
back from the members of the congregation has been very complimentary
and feel that it has been a good choice of instrument and also a good
investment. The instrument is
very comfortable to play and the action of the keys is very positive.
The number of preset thumb pistons on each manual makes it easy to
change to the different combination of sound.
Members of the congregation were most
impressed by the voicing of the Viscount Vivace 40, mainly due, I think,
to the four external speakers, not to mention the appearance of the
console, which fits in well with our Victorian chapel. Needless to say,
I am enjoying playing the organ and exploring the various possibilities
that are available. I must thank you on behalf of the church for
installing the instrument and providing the necessary back up to make
sure that everything was in place as we wished.
This organ speaker system supplied by
Anthony Bogdan Organs Ltd has completely changed the musical life at S.
Peter's, and playing for services is now highly enjoyable. The
installation was done with great care and Anthony's own considerable
experience as an organist resulted in a very satisfactory musical
set-up. I am delighted.

you for the superb Vivace 50 that you delivered to Holy Trinity, Pwll
last week. We had a superb Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed playing and the
singing was the best I have heard for some time! It is a super
instrument and will enhance our worship enormously. I am very grateful

comments regarding the sound and versatility of this instrument. The

project was second to none and as a result the worship at our little
church has been greatly enhanced. We are pleased as a church and parish

In December, after Evening Service and the
church was locked, our Advent wreath burst into flames scorching badly
the Viscount Organ supplied by Anthony Bogdan Organs Ltd. It is to
Viscounts credit their consoles are so flame retardant or this might
have been a different story. We decided that the same company,
Anthony Bogdan Organs Ltd., should provide a replacement Viscount
Prestige organ. The instrument is a most versatile organ and I was
able to customize the specification to take into account the liturgy at
St James. Our Viscount Organ is noted for being a fine instrument.
Whilst we, at St James are pleased with the efficient installation,
voicing and after sales service provided by Anthony
I wanted to thank you for the smooth and
professional delivery and installation of the Viscount Vivace 40. I'm
really pleased with the instrument and am already feeling the benefit of
being able to practice daily.
Just a note to say that I am very satisfied
with your recommendation of the Viscount Vivace. Setting up very easy
and voices excellent. One advantage is that I have digital hearing aids
in each ear and with the previous organ I had to remove them but with
the Viscount this is not necessary. Delivery of Viscount and removal of
Johannus was carried out most efficiently. I will have no hesitation in
recommending your services. Thank you for you
attention to detail installing our pre-owned organ After your visit we
hosted the North West Ward of the Society of Mary Lent Afternoon and
the organ was put through its paces rigourously.A congregation of 130
sang lustily during the sung mass, ably accompanied by Michael
Heppleston at the organ. Later in the day 100 folk sang their way
through the Stations of the Cross and the day ended with Solemn
Benediction.
Installation is now complete and everyone is
thrilled with the sound, including of course myself, a not so old
sceptic! This instrument will lead a congregation of three hundred
plus choir and orchestra just as beautifully as a small Sunday
Morning Eucharist. My advice to anyone wanting an
alternative to a perhaps unaffordable pipe organ is talk to some one
with experience and who is
an organist themselves. To say that the
installation of a Prestige 80 in St Augustines has been a success is
an understatement. A number of distinguished visiting organists have
commented on the excellent sound. The very complete specification
allows the performance of music of all periods with authenticity,
and above all it is superb in its prime function, that of
accompanying the excellent liturgy of St. Augustine's Just a note to say that
after the re-balancing and work on the speakers system the organ is
sounding a whole lot better! The improvement is significant. The Makin has a much better tone,
volume and balance of sound in every way. The improvement has been
noticed by more people than just my assistant and myself. |
