Anthony Bogdan Organs Ltd were asked to advise on the way forward
with the sound and the organ in The Parish Church of St Peter
Rickerscote. The Church had been given a Viscount Prestige II. It
had been placed in the organ 'cupboard' with the sound surrounding
the organist and not the congregation. Anthony suggested as the
organ was split into eight channels, two per division, the choir and
swell be placed on the north side of the church and the great and
pedal on the south side of the church.
The scaffolding duly arrived and work commenced. The 'job' was
crowned by a bass bin which fires downward to reflect the sound.

Dear Anthony -
I thought you would like to know how things went on Sunday.
The Big Bass Bin makes a vast difference! It makes the building
rumble in a way that I thought only a massive organ pipe could.
I was able to use a lot of variation in the types of tone for the
different parts of the Mass, and then we sang "Christ Triumphant" to
Guiting Power as the recessional. This was a good chance to
wind things up a bit and let everyone know what could be done. The
support the instrument gave to the singing, especially as the choir
processed down the church was impressive. I have never heard the
congregation sing so well, and there were plenty pleasing comments
afterwards. These were from people whose views I take seriously, and
who were sitting in different places up and down the church.
It has taken us a while, but what we now have has made the wait
worthwhile. I am very grateful to you for all the work you have put
in over the months and all the visits you have made to S. Peter's.
Sincerely
Tony Baggs
