Clifton College, Bristol boasts a very
fine Harrison Organ in the College Chapel. It is a four manual
instrument with forty six speaking stops.
The chapel cannot always be free for organ
practice and the Old Cliftonians needed an instrument in the dinning
hall for their meetings. It was decided to investigate the digital
route. James Hills the Director of Music started a dialogue with
Anthony Bogdan Organs Ltd.
James met with Anthony at Viscount and tried the
Viscount Vivace, Prestige, and Physis. It was decided to opt for the
Prestige 40. It was fit for purpose, a practice organ and an
occasional hymn machine for meetings.
The order was placed and Anthony Bogdan delivered
the organ making some modifications to the stop list and voicing and
regulating the whole organ
